Applying to become a VirTutor is a simple process. Just submit this application form, along with the required attachments, and we will set up a virtual interview with you at your convenience.
Your earnings are accumulated and paid on the first of the subsequent month. For example, you will receive payment for any booking that took place in November on the 1st of December.”

Being your own boss means deciding how much you want to get paid. Your Payment Level determines how much you will be paid per hour. It is recommended that you start at the cheapest rate( Level 1) and move up towards Level 6 as you become more experienced and in demand.

The messaging system allows you to upload documents onto your chat with each individual student. Go to messages, then inbox. Select the student’s chat and click on the attachment icon that is seen in the text box. A pop up box will appear, follow the processes and upload your document. Alternatively, you can email the document to support@virtutoronline.com with the first and last name of the student and this will be forwarded on for you.
Being your own boss means deciding how much you want to get paid. VirTutors earn between GHS 50 and GHS 195 per lesson (per hour); you can choose how much you want to earn depending on your level of experience.
Students/Parents
After creating a student account – and finding a suitable tutor using our simple search function – booking a tutor and scheduling a lesson is simple. Just scroll to the bottom of your preferred tutor’s profile and click on the “Send me a message” button. You will be redirected to a chat with them and can inform them that you would like to book a lesson. Please note that payment must be made 24 hours prior to the lesson taking place. Remember, the sharing of contact details is strictly prohibited on the site. Do reach out to our support team ( +233 596 448 188) should you have any pressing issues.
Once your tutor has created the lesson, he/she will inform you. You may head to the tutor’s profile by simply clicking on the tutor’s profile icon in the chat feature and you will be redirected to the tutor’s profile. On their calendar, you will see the booking they have created for you at the agreed time and date that was discussed. Kindly click on the booking in green and proceed to the check out page where you can pay for the session via credit/debit card, mobile money or bank transfer. Please note that the lesson will not appear in your lessons tab on your dashboard until it has been paid for.
After messaging your preferred tutor and agreeing to the lesson schedule, your tutor will create the slot for you. Go to the tutor’s profile calendar and click the agreed time slot for the first lesson, which will redirect you to the checkout page.
Click the upward arrow to increase the number of lessons (hours) you wish to have with this tutor, and your price will be updated automatically. Now, you can proceed to make payment for these lessons.
Yes, scheduled lessons can be cancelled up to one hour before the start of the lesson. This can be done by messaging the tutor whom you have a scheduled lesson with via the chat feature. You may either reschedule the lesson to a different date or request a refund via the link https://www.virtutoronline.com/request-refund/ . Please ensure that you inform the tutor of your decision so that he/she can assist you on this.
A VirTutor’s Payment Level relates to the price he/she wishes to be paid for each lesson, based on his/her level of experience, student ratings, demand, and how long they have been a VirTutor. This payment level corresponds to the rates as shown on this link.
VirTutor Online profiles are simple yet detailed. You get to review a tutor’s experience level, a short biography, and watch their personal introduction video. If you still aren’t satisfied, you can also reach out to the tutor using the VirTutor Chat feature of your account and arrange a 15-minute free meeting with him/her.
Before the lesson starts, you will have the option to record the session. Should you opt to do so, the recording will become available to you in your lessons tab within 24 hours of the lesson completion date. This link is valid for 7 days, after which it will automatically be deleted.

Please follow the recommended guidelines on when to pay for your lesson. These timelines ensure that your tutor has enough time to prepare for your session and you can view the lesson in your bookings prior to the session starting.

Yes, this is possible. However, the payment rate will be selected as 11 Plus as this is the lowest age group possible.
All activities carried out on VirTutor Online such as chatting, booking a lesson or making a payment come with notifications on the student’s VirTutor Online profile dashboard, and emails sent to his/her personal account. As a parent, you can also receive these notifications by adding your email address in the appropriate field on the sign-up form when creating a student account.

It is currently not possible to change the tutor you have booked when rescheduling lesson. Take advantage of the various features that help you choose the right tutor before booking and paying for a lesson.
To access your lessons, log into your account and click on your name in the top right-hand corner. Then, you may click on the Lessons tab. Kindly click on the booking created by the tutor. When it’s time for your lesson, a “join” tab will appear. Click “join” and then “open meeting”. You will be directed to the lesson space.
